I have used a usb device in the past (a quick cam) and it still works, I have tried booting in safe mode and seleting all entries. When I re-boot, it first adds the intell /pci device and when I connect the hub, it prompts me for a path , it adds it correctly and then adds an uknown device.

In Device Manager under USB I have: 1.Standard enhanced PCI to USB host controller. 2.Standard openHCD USB controller. 3.Standard openHCD USB controller. 4.Unknown device. 5. 4, Unknown Device is I assume the reader since it goes away if I remove USB plug. Have tried different USB sockets, no difference.

Why are these drivers still running?
When I access with CiscoView a 4500 it does not show me the E1 card; instead it says: "uknown device" (or something of the sort I can get the exact details later on today). I suppose I need to add something to the Ciscoworks libraries. Does anyone know the whats, whens and where of the libs. I have to include.

About to recompile kernel: few questions
The driver used is LPT.VXD and I have tried both the original version and the updated one, neither stops WIN 95 from saying there is "unknown hardware' and asking for a driver disk. I also have an "uknown device" in my system details. Any ideas? Thanks! Jimschroeder @msn.com.

It could be that you need a bios update. Ask them to check if your bios will handle this higher speed part, if not, do they have an update
