I'm suddenly seeing an "uknown device" in device manager with the yellow question mark next to it. If I delete it and reboot, win95b tells me it has detected an unknown device and wants to find drivers for it. I'm clueless what this thing is. All my internal and external devices are working fine.

Dlink network card, nvidia mx400 video card and soundblaster live sound card installed and accounted for in Device manager (no other cards installed, onboard sound disabled). Go into Device Manager and see if there is an "Unknown Device" under Uknown Devices. DO NOT REMOVE this. Run the INF patch on the CD. It will prompt you to restart. Do so. When it reboots 98 will start detecting everything EXECPT (in my case) SM Bus Mastering. This is on the Asus cd. It isn't in a folder.
